Who is able to participate?

Pi Hacks is exclusively for University of Michigan students. All majors and experience levels are welcome, not just CS!

Do I need to know how to code?

No! A good team includes designers, creatives, and students from all backgrounds.

Do I need a team to register?

No. You can register solo, with a few friends, or with a full team. We'll help match solo registrants with other participants. Teams are typically 3–5 people.

What happens at a hackathon?

Your team will brainstorm an idea, build it over 24 hours, and present to judges!

Are there any prizes for winners?

Yes! Pi Hacks will award $1,500+ in prizes across multiple tracks. More details about prize categories TBA.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Pi Hacks is completely free for all participants.

How many people can participate?

We have space for around 250 participants. First come, first served, so register early!

When and where is Pi Hacks?

Rackham Building, March 21–22, 24 hours!. A full schedule will be released to registered hackers.
